Ok, in protest to 's new DA proposal I'm taking down every deviation I have except for a single protest peice. and I encourage others to do the same.
Again, DA is not about making money. It's about the art comunity and meeting new people. Through DA I have met some really wonderful people, and exchanged ideas and tips with countless others.
Spyed plans on making DA an exclusive club for people who are "good" at art. If you are an amature or are just proud of some sketch you found in a forgotten notebook it won't be accepted as a submission. He wants to make DA look more "professional" so that it will attract more investors. I for one am now anoyed that every time I come to DA I see ads at the bottom of my screen wanting to sell me Penis Enlargement pills and ringtones for my cellphone.

The short of it is, DA plans on using YOUR artwork to make THEM money, and you won't see a cent of it. They are already doing this by offering your artwork as wallpaper for cellphones through a deal with Verison.
So, DA is nothing without you and your hard work and creativity. Without you, DA can't exhist. Without your art, DA is nothing. So please, Join me and take down your artwork (at the very least temporarily) and leave up only protest pieces.
